Looking around the field there are two players already in Day 2 that are playing Day 1b in the hunt for the second bag.

The Bar Poker Open Championship has a 'best stack forward' rule allowing players to play multiple Day 1's and can take their largest stack through to Day 2.

They also pay out $1,500 per forfeited stack, so it is worth the endeavour for these players.

Last year's second-place finisher, Kourtney Sims, is still in the field today with a stack of 79,000. She bagged 185,000 for Day 2 yesterday and is looking to bring a bigger stack back from today's action.

The other player is Will Unruh, who is currently sitting last in the Day 2 chip counts with 5,000 chips. Having less than a single ante for Day 2 could prove tough for Unruh so he is out in the field looking to bag something much more healthy.

Late Registration is now closed and the tournament has hit 1,053 entrants across the two Day 1s.

Day 1b had a total of 388 runners of which 45 players will cash and 20 will advance to Day 2 tomorrow.

Players have just gone on their second 15-minute break of the day.

Any players wishing to enter the Bar Poker Open Championship have until the end of the break to do so.

In a three-bet pot, James Irizariy jammed all in on a flop of for 44,300 and was called by Richard Rolka.

Irizariy had flopped a straight draw but was behind to Rolka's set of tens. The turn changed nothing but the river came and Irizarly made his straight to take a chunk of Rolka's stack with the double up.

Action folded around to Robert Woodsmall who raised all in for 5,200 from the cutoff and Zack Petra called from the button. Both blinds folded and the players turned their hands with Woodsmall at risk of elimination.

The board ran out and Woodsmall leapfrogged in front with the ten in the window, doubling his stack in the process.

On a board of Charles Glover wagered his remaining stack of 30,800 and was called by Joe Rodriguez in a pot totalling 126,200.

Rodriguez showed for broadway but it was Glover who scooped the pot with , for a full house.

Action folded around to Matijames Eaton who went all in for her remaining 11,400 and picked up a single call from Cara Pearson in the seat to her left. All other players folded and the hands were shown with Eaton at risk.

Eaton was behind and couldn't improve as the dealer dealt out the runout seeing Pearson scoop the pot as Eaton heads to the exit.

On a flop of , Zack Petra fired a 3,200 continuation bet only for Jordan Martak to raise to a total of 8,400.

Petra took his time before deciding to not tangle with another big stack on the table, folding his hand and Martak added to his stack.

Martak built a stack early on Day 1a but was unable to turn that momentum into a Day 2 stack but is on the right track so far today.

Action folded around to Donald McCann who raised to 4,000 in the small blind and Janice Curryscotto called from the big blind. The two players saw a flop of . McCann bet out 6,000 and Curryscotto called.

The dealer placed the on the turn and both players checked, as they did on the river.

McCann showed for a pair of fives, but Curryscotto scooped the pot with and her pair of tens.

A wild four-way all-in just took place on Table 16 between Derrick Koonce, Zack Gotkin, Jon McClain and one other opponent.

Koonce was the shortest player and at risk of busting the tournament and was behind when the cards were shown.

The flop came and changed nothing, McClain covered all players and his kings were still best.

The turn came improving Gotkin to top pair and one card away from a huge scoop, but that wasn't meant to be as the fell on the river, improving Koonce to a set of eights and quadrupling his stack. Gotkin was left with fumes, as was McClain, whilst the unknown player was eliminated.

Lauren Wise bet 7,300 into a pot of 13,300, on the turn with the board reading only for Sandro Boos to reraise all in for a total of 19,400. Wise threw in a single black 5,000 chip, to signify a call, and the players showed their hands.
