Kevin Cadieux bet his remaining 105,000 chips and picked up a single caller, in the shape of John Carr.
As the hands were tabled, a large crowd gathered to see whether this was the hand that would end the days play.

The flop was safe for Cadieux but the crowd erupted on the turn, giving Carr a straight and a lock on the hand.
The river was an inconsequential and it was Cadieux who busted, leaving the remaining 20 players coming back tomorrow for Day 2.

Paul Hair open jammed his remaining 235,000 and action folded to Angel Palaez, in the big blind, who made the call.

Hair was at risk and needed help but the board ran out and despite Hair's chanting for a three on the river, Palaez's Kings held, taking the field down to 21.

Steve Moutrey opened to 50,000 from middle position and Milton Thomas reraised all in from the seat to his left, for a total of 425,000.
The action folded back to Moutrey, who quickly called putting Thomas at risk.
