Anthony Lorenz arrived today dressed as the pope, and recalled his final hand to PokerNews from the rail. Lorenz explained that he ran his full house, tens and fives, into a bigger full house of aces and fives to end his run on the opening day.

Lorenz initially wore the costume at a No Limit Pub Poker Tour Halloween event last fall, and qualified for this tournament by winning a full Vegas package in May.

On the flop it was checked to Croteau who moved all in for 12,500.

Hawlii Allinson called from the button as did Carla Semenza in early position.

The active players checked down the turn and and cards were on their backs.

Semenza tabled for third pair, Allinson for top pair baby kicker but they were both behind Croteau with his for top pair second kicker and he was shipped the pot for a treble up.

The top 53 players will earn at least $600, while the last 27 players remaining will earn a spot in Day 2.
